What does IN-Touch offer?

The IN-Touch program for displaced academics is tuition free. It lends displaced academics the status of visiting students and enables them to participate in student life at a university in Bremen. Moreover, participants in the IN-Touch program can use university facilities free of charge:

  • Libraries
  • user account, for instance for online research
  • use of self-study facilities belonging to the Foreign Language Center of Universities in the Federal State of Bremen (FZHB)
  • making contacts through the Student-Partner Program



Registration for IN-Touch

Registration for the winter semester 2019 is closed. Registration for the summer semester 2020 will be open in February 2020. 

What conditions do I have to fulfill?

You must already have been enrolled as a student in the country you come from and have a sufficiently good command of German or English.

On IN-Touch

Bremen launched IN-Touch in summer 2014. It was the first federal state to offer displaced academics such an opportunity. The idea has since been adopted Germany wide and in sveral EU member states. IN-Touch even drew praise from the European Commission as "Good Practice".
