:prime includes:

And the best: There are no tuition fees for :prime! As a pilot project :prime is currently free of charge. You only pay for the C1-certificate (approx. 180 Euro) and the semester fee of currently 383 Euro per semester. (costs of living not included)

From :prime to your Bachelor studies

After successfully passing the :prime Zugangsprüfung, you can apply for one of our :prime Bachelor study program at one of our universities.

What you need for your successful application:

  • Secondary school leaving examination, that entitles you for a “Studienkolleg”
  • German Language B1 (with certificate)
  • TestAS with a minimum of in total 190 points

2 Steps to your Application

  • Step 1 – TestAS:
    You need to pass the TestAS with at least 190 points. Please find more information on the Test for Academic Studies (TestAS) here: www.testas.de.

  • Step 2 – uni assist:
    You can register here for the preparation study program :prime. This link leads you to uni assist, a portal for all German universities. On the website of uni assist you can apply for :prime from the end of April to mid-June 2019. Just choose the city "Bremen" and the university "AHEAD Academy.

Good to know!

:prime graduates are allowed to enroll into a study program at one of our universities in Bremen only. Be aware that the places are limited.


The :prime concept

Language

Apply now and start your course in September in Bremen, Germany. Internationally renowned experts of the language center Bremen have developed these excellent language courses. Tutors support your individual language training.

The language course starts in September and ends March with the C1 exam. You will have to spend at least 25 hours per week on language courses. The courses are exclusively taught by the Goethe-Institut Bremen.

Key Qualifications

A further part of :prime is a qualified extra-curricular preparation: We offer workshops on study techniques, time and self-management, presentation techniques, research techniques which you will have to apply throughout your studies in Germany. Intercultural trainings will help you to understand the German culture.

Preparing your university access qualification exam

During the application process you choose your future study program. According to this choice, you will recieve a qualified preparation enabeling you to pass the university access qualification test. Together with your Professor you choose recommendable lectures you will visit at one of our universites. By this you’ll get in contact with your fellow students and Professors at an early stage. You experience university life during your preparation courses and will be profoundly well-prepared for your start at our universities. During the whole :prime time, your professors and our team will support you whenever you need help.

Directive

The preparation study program :prime is a pilot project of the Federal State of Bremen and the universities of Bremen. :prime students don't pay tuition fees, their place in the program is financially supported by the State of Bremen. The directive called "Richtilinie der Hochschulen im Land Bremen für das Pilotprojekt :prime" gives more information on goal of the project, the requirements to participate in the program, the selection procedure and the duration of the support.
